Olympics Motivation

I’m sure plenty of you have been watching and enjoying the Olympics, especially with how successful team GB have been!

Its safe to say I am not speaking for myself when I say that I have been getting over excited and shouting at the TV at sports I didn’t even know I would enjoy to watch. The amount of training and discipline that have gone into these athletes lives in order to become an Olympic champion really is inspiring and can be used by everyone as some form of motivation.

Now I am not saying that we are all going to be challenging for medals at Tokyo 2020 but there is no reason why we can use some of the commitment and self-discipline to reach our personal goals. Whether it is to start going to the gym, complete a 10k run or to lose fat we can all do more than we currently are to achieve these.

In order to start achieving these goals you have to start somewhere and making small changes regularly to your lifestyle in order to achieve these goals in my opinion is the sustainable way to go about reaching your set goal.

For example if you are wanting to lose fat and start eater cleaner choices of food 7 days a week, when you’re current diet is made up of eating what you fancy when you get hungry just isn’t going to work. You might last a couple of weeks if you are lucky! Instead starting off by eating clean food every other day until this becomes part of your routine and then keep adding to this will make it more likely that you stick to this rather than doing it all at once from one extreme to another.

There are plenty of other examples that could be used instead of the scenario above so take some inspiration from the Olympics and crack on achieving your own personal goals!
